When I heard myself explaining to my son this morning that our forgetting to buy vegan butter actually presented us with an opportunity to take fuller advantage of our coconut oil with all of its useful properties, I remembered. That this is a recurring principle in my life. Things go askew, you build anew. We’ve all been doing it lately. In some way. In many ways.

Things go askew, you build anew.

And so we gathered anew this fall, like the theatrical equivalent to coconut oil that we are. A little alt. A little unpredictable. And it was (still) a tasty muffin.
